It’s worthwhile to say a few words about the Beginner/Open sessions. The intent of the Beginner/Open sessions is to provide a setting where play can be in a spirit of friendly neighborliness. In these sessions, players’ goals for the evening may vary significantly. In that case, individuals may decide to favor playing with particular sets of partners in order to have a more satisfying experience. Some will play for the neighborliness, and some will play a little more competitively. This informal separation of players is welcomed, so long as court times are distributed in rough equality for all.
